Project Description
- stabilized all lifting gesso by consolidation
- compensated for larger losses in compo/gesso, especially 10-20” along bottom rail, in synthetic putty or gesso putty, as well as the smaller losses, such as the beads
- applied yellow and/or black bole where necessary in preparation for gold leaf gilding (22.75kt)
- toned all new materials with acrylics to match the surrounding gilding
- left overpaint as it is
- alleviated warp by setting the existing nails and readhering one glue block in the bottom rail
