Designed for collectors, restorers, homeowners, and dealers alike, Fallon & Wilkinson, LLC presents a hands on weekend-long workshop April 13th and 14th at our conservation studio. Topics covered include:
- loss compensation techniques, including veneer repairs, molding and casting, synthetic fills, and various approaches to consolidation.
- cleaning and reconditioning old existing finishes, including methods and materials for in-painting and blending repairs.
- the preparation and use of shellacs, padding lacquers, synthetic resin options, and French polishing will be discussed and demonstrated.
Participants are encouraged to bring a small project to the workshop. Professional touch up kits, brushes, and general restoration supplies will be available for optional purchase.

Sunday 4/14: 10:00am-4:00pm
The Workshop fee is $325.00, with pre-registration required, and will be held on Saturday, April 13th, and Sunday, April 14th, at the Fallon & Wilkinson Conservation Studio in Baltic, CT. We offer Senior and Prior-Student discounts as well, please ask!

Both were trained at the Smithsonian Institution’s prestigious Furniture Conservation Training Program and completed conservation fellowships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Preservation Society of Newport County, and the Mystic Seaport Museum, respectively.
